Bittersweet Baking began in 2003 as a wholesale baking company for a local restaurant. It then transitioned into a specialty baking business where the creative options have no limit. We love the challenge of taking an idea or theme from our clients and making it come to life on a cake or batch of cookies. We thrive to make your guests remember the look and savor the taste long after the party has ended.
What sets us apart from other bakers is simple. We use the best ingredients we can find and make all our desserts from scratch. We use locally grown products like Oregon hazelnuts, berries, butter and cream. We support organic farmers by using organically grown apples, carrots, bananas and locally roasted organic coffee. We use the best European chocolate, real Madagascar vanilla beans, unbleached flour and pure extracts. Every dessert is made to order, never frozen. Each dessert is prepared by hand, never from a mix. We squeeze our own lemons, crack our own eggs, toast our own nuts and whip our cream by hand. It just tastes better this way.
